Germany by Train

Modern & speedy service

Best known for its high speed ICE trains, the German rail network is amongst the best connected in the world and with so many popular cities to visit, traveling by train really is ideal.  From Berlin to Munich to Frankfurt to Cologne, through the Black Forest, along the Baltic Sea, and onto the Bavarian Alps, imagine all the stops you could include when traveling with a rail pass!

With a German Rail Pass enjoy train travel throughout Germany for a flexible number of travel days, ranging from 3 to 10 flexible days, to be used within 1 month.  As a pass holder you will also avoid paying surcharges on German high speed and quality day trains such as ICE, IC or EC. Although pass holders have free access to these trains, reservations are recommended during peak travel times.  One exception is the ICE Sprinter train, which requires compulsory reservation and supplement.

Also if you would like to travel beyond Germany, there are many great connections to neighbouring European countries.  With a Eurail Pass valid in Germany or an InterRail Pass you can select the best country combination that suits your Euro-trip itinerary.
