These tickets are less expensive, but have a limited availability. The sooner you book, the less you pay. Ideal for those committed to traveling on a particular date, time and train. Seat reservations are included. Only available on Greater Anglia train services.

Ticket on Departure & Reservation - Off-Peak & Super Off-Peak

Tickets offer some flexibility, allowing you to travel aboard any train operating during off-peak hours on your ticket date. Though off-peak times may vary, they are typically before 9:30am and between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Super Off-Peak tickets may be more restrictive. Seat reservations are included. Only available on Greater Anglia train services.

Seat reservations

  • When booking a ‘Ticket ONLY on Departure’ e-ticket, the seat reservation is not included.
  • When booking a ‘Ticket on Departure & Reservation’ e-ticket, the seat reservation will be included in most cases. Exceptions where the seat may not be reserved at the time of booking include shorter journeys that don’t offer seat reservations or when the allocation of reservable seats is fully booked. In either case, your ticket is still valid and you can sit in any vacant seat.

Ticket Purchase Conditions and Delivery

Tickets for travel from Cambridge to London by train may be booked up to 3 months in advance. Refunds and exchanges are not permitted.
Once your e-ticket order has been processed, you will receive an email confirmation with a ticket collection #. Collect your physical ticket simply by using this number at a self-service ticket dispensing machine at the station before boarding.
